Form a team or walk as an individual. A walk team is two or more people – family, friends, co-workers, church members or service clubs – who want to join in the fun and raise money to support The ALS Association. It’s easy to start a team – just choose a team captain and a team name and register your team on www.alsala.org.

Set your own personal goals and team goals and start raising money! Ask everyone you know to support your participation. Collect donations as you talk to people. Last year our success was boosted by the great number of families who participated in our national letter writing campaign*. We encourage everyone to begin gathering a mailing list of friends, family and neighbors who will team up to raise funds for research to find a cure and to support the work of our Patient Services Department. Mail a personal letter to everyone on your list asking them to join your walking team on, gather donations from their friends and neighbors and make a personal donation. We have found that you will double your success if you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with your letter.
